This was a very successful evenin= g. Thank you cards have been sent to all the therapists that worked on the night. £192.05 was raised and donated to Breast Cancer Research Uk. <= /span>

Christmas Fair

 

Raffle : Sarah, Di, Cinnamon and Leila have been very successful in getting raffle prizes from local businesses. = Top prize of £100 Meadowhall voucher donated by Sheffield Orthopaedics = Ltd. Raffle tickets to go in book bags week beginning 19th November.

Publicity: Posters advertising Christmas Fair to be produced by Fiona Trevaskiss. These will need to be distributed to local nurseries, shops etc.

School Newsletter to include noti= ces reminding parents of Christmas fair/ call for used toys/books/ tombola pr= izes and cakes and mince pies.

 

It was decided not to contact Star/Telegraph to advertise fair as it is busy enough with school childre= n, siblings, parents and carers.

Fairtrade Stall –The idea that the PTA organise= a Fairtrade Christmas food style stall was discussed. Although members thou= ght this would be a good idea, it was decided that it would be too much to organise with the amount of time left before the fair. A good stall for summer fair or next year maybe.

Justine has agreed to organise the adults’  food – = hot roast pork sandwiches and vegetarian option

 

It was also decided to do children’s lunchboxes to include ham or cheese sandwich, juice box, packet of raisins and a piece of fruit. Claire = offered support to make sandwiches. Kate offered to source and order childrenR= 17;s cardboard lunchboxes. Miss Ball reported that the teachers/school staff w= ould staff the refreshments and popcorn stand.

Father Christmas is booked and Justine’s husband has once again agreed to do the grotto - big than= ks to Justine’s husband from all present.

Report from Eco group – Their aims are to raise money for the school garden, insulation a= nd roofing and science equipment for the school. They have applied for fundi= ng. They have the option to buy 100 keyrings for £50 which they could s= ell to the children to fix on to their bookbags.

In February= they are hoping to plan a garden makeover event over one weekend.
