School Entrance

I appreciate that for m= any of you, coming through the main school entrance doors is a quicker route in= to school. During the Easter holiday we had the entrance carpet cleaned as it = was getting very grubby. We are trying to keep it looking clean. If you are com= ing to the office, to see Mr Johnson or me or drop off vouchers etc you are wel= come to use the main door but otherwise could you please consider using other do= ors nearer to the classrooms or the hall which have ‘wet areas’ by = the entrance and more suitable for wet, muddy feet. Thank you.

Gardening Saturday Postponed

Gardening Saturday, this coming Saturday, has been postponed due to the weather forecast. A new date will be arranged soon = 211; we’ll let you know.

NUT Strike

A letter was sent home = at the beginning of the week explaining that teachers from our school will be striking next Thursday. Children in Classes 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 are as= ked to stay away from school on Thursday 24^th April as their teachers will be on strike. Thank you for your co-operation. Class 5 Sharing Assembly has been changed to 15^th May.

School Meals=

The new school meal men= us will be starting in school next week. Copies of the new menus have been sent home.

Sponsored Bounce

Don’t forget to return consent forms for the Sponsored Bounce next Wednesday. The Sponsored Bounce day is one of those events the children never forget – years and years later children who= ’ve been to our school nearly always mention the Bounce. It will be loads of fu= n! If you can be a volunteer on the day please sign up on the white board in t= he hall or complete the form being sent home from the PTA.

School Fish<= /span>

Many of you have noticed that we have two tanks containing fish in school. This is because we have found out that we have 5 boys and 1 girl and spring is in the air! We’ll keep you informed of progress in the maternity wing!

PTA Coffee Morning R= 11; Tuesday 29^th April 2008

This is an opportunity for parents and carers to h= ave a chat over a drink rather than the quick 5 minutes you get when dropping t= he children off in their classroom. It is held in the school reception area at 8.50am straight after drop-off. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits, breadst= icks and grapes are all provided free of charge so you don’t need your pur= se! Pre-school children are also very welcome.
