Curriculum Meetings

I am pleased that so ma= ny parents were able to attend the Curriculum meetings this week. Thank you for coming. The teachers worked very hard planning for them. I am glad you found them useful.

Phonics Meeting<= /b>

Mrs Wigley will be repeating her meeting on Phonic= s on Wednesday 20^th February 9.00am – 9.45am in the hall. All n= ew parents and parents who missed the last meeting are welcome.

Chinese New Year=

The children will be learning about Chinese New Ye= ar next Wednesday. We are planning different activities in the classrooms. If = any parent has anything they, or their children, can share on this topic your c= hild’s teacher would be happy to use it. Thank you.

Art and Craft Club=

A 10-week Art and Craft Club will be starting in school after half-term for Y1/Y2 children. It will run every Thursday, star= ting on Thursday 21^st February. Letters will be coming home today. Pl= ease return forms to the school office. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The cost will be £30 for ten sessions.=

Staff Professional Development

Monday 4^th February – Miss Clarke= on Enhancing Learning Project – all day. Mrs Adams to teach class 2.

Thursday 7^th February – Miss Ball= at Northern Sustainable Schools Conference – all day.<= /p>

Blue Peter Disc Drive<= /p>
There is a basket in the entrance hall for collect= ion of unwanted CDs, DVDs or computer games (in saleable condition). These will= be given to Barnado’s who will sell them in their shops to raise much ne= eded funds for young carers in the UK. Thank you.

PTA

School Link catalogues will be in the book bags on Monday. If you would like to place an order please fill out an order form a= nd hand in to the school office by Friday 8^th February. Last half-t= erm the book orders made £84 for the school to spend on books! Thank you.= Any problems contact Amanda Forrester (child in Reception).
