Fish
The fish have arrived! =
The
School Council’s ‘Fishy Friday’ was a huge success. They =
have
been able to buy (with Mr Johnson’s help) a new tank, food and toys f=
or 6
fish. We now have 2 goldfish, 1 blue orf, 1 fantail fish and 2 shubunkins. =
We
are in the process of organising fish monitors to take care of our new fami=
ly.
New staff
We were very pleased to welcome Mr Bradley on to o=
ur
staff team last week. He joins us as a Lunch Time Supervisor three days a w=
eek.
He also helps in some of our classes during lesson time.
We welcome Miss Gibbons, who joins us in Class 2. =
She
is from Sheffield Hallam University on her final placement of her BA course=
.
School Choir=
Year 2 children are all invited to join a choir.
Letters have been sent home asking if your child wants to join. The choir w=
ill
be performing at a Family Concert for the charity Home Start, Sheffield, on
Saturday afternoon, 23rd February. If your Year 2 child wants to
take part please return the slip on the letter. We will start rehearsing ne=
xt
week.

Love a Lamb Day
Thursday 14th February 2008 – 11.=
00am
– 3.00pm. Children £3. Adults £2.50.
This is an opportunity to visit a real working farm
during lambing and find out about sheep and lambs from Farmer Will and then
ride on the tractor trailer to see the sheep in the fields. Meet the cows,
pigs, ponies, goats, hens and ducks and have a go at one of the fun craft
activities. Hot drinks, biscuits and a BBQ are also available. No dogs will=
be
allowed on to the farm. You can book in advance or tickets will be availabl=
e on
