Festive Songs

You are all invited to = come along early tomorrow (Friday) when the children and staff will be singing a medley of festive songs. If you are able to join us please wait on the pave= ment and we will sing to you from the top paths. Weather permitting this will ta= ke place at 3.15pm.

School Plays=

Our children have done so well this week – a= ll the Plays were brilliant. Thank you to all the staff in preparing the child= ren to perform so well – the children really enjoyed themselves and were a credit to the school.

It was lovely to see so many parents and carers at= all the performances. Thank you for your support and your generosity. We raised £348.65 – half will go to Asthma UK and the rest towards our fu= nds to provide more interactive whiteboards in the classrooms.

School Calendar<= /b>

School calendars are available from the school off= ice – a few left. They cost only £3.50 and include term and holiday dates for next year.

School Party=

Thank you for all the food you sent in for the Sch= ool Party this afternoon – we had a great time! We won’t be needing much tea tonight!

Christmas Gifts

We have received a letter from Social Care Services – ‘Thank you to all the boys and girls, their families and staf= f, for the gifts they have donated through their Christmas Disco. It is wonder= ful to know that they are thinking of others, especially at this time of year.’ The gifts will be sent to families over the next few weeks.

Recycling

Don’t forget our eco-bag design competition – entrants in by 11^th January. Please remember to recycle = this Christmas. For every extra 50 tonnes of recycled trees Veolia will donate £500 to Sheffield Children’s Hospital and £500 for every extra 100 tonnes of paper and card.

Lost Property

If your child has lost a glove, scarf, coat, sweatshirt, t-shirt etc please look in the Lost Property box in the hall. A= ny items left by the end of tomorrow will be given to a charity or used as spa= res in school.

January 3^rd & 4^th 2008 – School closed to children due to staff training days.

January 7^th – First day of term (except new Reception children)

January 14^th onwards – New Recept= ion children start this week.

January 29^th – Year 2 curriculum meeting for parents 9.00am to 10.00am.

January 30^th – Year 1 curriculum meeting for parents 9.00am to 10.00am.

January 31^st – Reception curricul= um meeting for parents 9.00am to 10.00am.

February 11^th to 15^th - Half term holiday
