About the PTA

Who is a member of the PTA?

YOU ARE! The good news is that as a parent/guardian/teacher of a child at Nether Green Infant School (NGIS) you automatically become a member of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) - no long forms to fill in or membership fees to pay!

Why we are here

The PTA is here for you - the parents, guardians and teachers of all the children who attend NGIS. Our main aim is to raise funds to purchase items that would otherwise fall outside the school's budget.

How does it work?

The PTA currently is run by a committee of an elected chair, vice-chair and treasurer. These representatives are elected annually at the first PTA meeting of the school year. Supporting this committee is a group of 'regulars' who together with the committee decide what the PTA should do each year and then actually deliver it.

PTA Meetings

Meetings are held each half term, usually in the school foyer on a week day evening. Anyone is invited to come along to any of the meetings whether it's simply to listen to what's going on, express an opinion, make a suggesion, volunteer to help or become a member of the committee.

Volunteering

If you would like to help the PTA then please get in touch. We are always happy to welcome new volunteers and appreciate all the help that we get.
